Let It Snow!
I've not been running in the last six days - but I did enjoy three days of skiing. Although I spent more time on the slopes than I would during my usual run, I do wonder about the exercise level - no soreness or fatigue - and certainly I sat in the chairlift at least as long as I sped down the slopes! But it is good to try different types of exercise...so I'll just consider this a little cross training.
I logged 3 miles yesterday. I'm hoping for at least one 6 mile run before the end of the year, and then hope to continue to work off a base of 3-4 runs per week, with one constantly-increasing long run. I'd like to work on my time for my next marathon - perhaps achieve a 10.5 minute mile, which is my fastest long-run (15 km) time ever. I was reminded of this because I ran in it in temps like we've had recently -- and was so cold I really hurried to finish fast!
